Gutter Repair and Installation in Bellevue

Gutters do quiet, steady work. When they sag, leak at the seams or spill over, water ends up behind your fascia, in your flower beds and against your foundation. We clean, repair and replace gutters and downspouts so the roof you already have keeps draining the way it should.

Small Upkeep That Protects the Whole Roof Edge

A gutter system rarely fails all at once. A hanger loosens, a seam opens a little, leaves pack into one corner, and the run starts to hold water instead of moving it. That standing water adds weight, rusts fasteners and soaks the wood it is attached to. Most of the damage we see at the roof edge started as a gutter problem nobody noticed.

Our approach is to keep what is sound and fix what is not. Often that means a careful cleaning, resealed joints and a corrected slope rather than new gutters. When a system is past saving, we install aluminum gutters formed in one continuous piece per run, sized for your roof and fastened into solid wood, so the new gutters last as long as the shingles above them.

What Our Gutter Work Covers

Cleaning and flushing

We remove leaves, shingle grit and debris by hand, bag it, then flush each run and downspout with water to confirm it drains. Clogged downspouts are cleared from top to bottom, not just at the opening.

Resealing seams and end caps

Old sealant dries out and cracks. We scrape it clean and reseal corners, end caps and outlets with a gutter-grade sealant that stays flexible through hot and cold seasons.

Re-pitching and new hangers

A gutter needs a gentle, steady fall toward each downspout. We reset runs that have flattened or bellied and replace loose spikes with hidden hangers screwed into the fascia.

One-piece aluminum gutters

New gutters are formed on site to the exact length of each run, which removes most of the joints where leaks begin. We help you choose a color that sits well with your trim and siding.

Downspout placement and extensions

Each downspout is positioned to handle the heaviest flow coming off its section of roof. We then add extensions or splash blocks that carry the water well clear of your foundation.

Gutter guards

Where heavy tree cover fills gutters every fall, we can fit guards that keep larger debris out. We will tell you plainly whether they make sense for your trees and roof pitch.

Warning Signs at the Gutter Line

Water sheeting over the front edge
If rain spills over the front lip during an ordinary shower, something is blocking the flow. It may be a packed downspout, a gutter too narrow for the roof area feeding it, or a run tilted toward the wrong end.
Drooping runs or gaps at the fascia
When the middle of a gutter bows down or you can see daylight between the gutter and the board behind it, the hangers are losing their grip. Often the wood they are screwed into has softened as well.
Stained or spongy fascia boards
Bubbling paint, dark vertical streaks or trim that feels soft when pressed tell us water has been slipping behind the gutter for a while.
Eroded ground below downspouts
Little gullies in the mulch, mud splashed on the siding or a damp patch on the basement wall nearby mean the water is landing right beside your home instead of being carried off.
Thick icicles along the eaves
A row of long icicles in freeze-thaw weather usually means the gutters were holding water or leaves when the cold set in. That frozen weight can loosen hangers and force meltwater up under the lowest shingles.

How a Gutter Visit Runs

  1. 1

A look at the whole edge

We walk the perimeter, check every run from the ladder and look at the fascia, drip edge and the first row of shingles. We show you the photos we took and tell you honestly whether a repair or a new run is the better fit.

  2. 2

    A written estimate

Your estimate lists each item separately, from resealing to new downspouts, so you can see what each part of the work involves.

  3. 3

    The work day

We set ladders with stand-offs so they rest away from the gutters, protect plantings below and keep the work tidy as we go. Most gutter jobs on a typical house are finished in a day.

  4. 4

    Water test and cleanup

Before we leave, we run water through every section to confirm it flows to the outlets. Debris, old metal and fasteners are hauled away and the ground is checked with a magnet.

What Moves the Price of a Gutter Job

We do not quote gutter work from a rate sheet, because every house is measured on its own. We inspect and measure first, then put a number in writing. Cleaning and repairs cost much less than replacement, which is one reason we look closely at what can stay.

Length and height
Total linear footage and the number of stories set most of the cost. Second-story and steep-lot runs take more setup time.
Gutter size and material
Five-inch gutters suit many roofs, while larger or steeper roofs may need six-inch gutters and wider downspouts to keep up with heavy rain.
Condition of the fascia
If the wood behind the gutter has rotted, it has to be replaced before anything new can be fastened to it. We show you the soft sections in photos before quoting them.
Guards and downspout count
Adding guards, extra downspouts or underground-drain connections each adds to the scope, and we list them separately so you can decide.

Gutter Questions We Hear Often

How often should my gutters be cleaned?
For most houses, twice a year works well: once after the leaves finish falling and once in late spring. Homes under large trees may need an extra cleaning. A clean system before winter is the best defense against ice buildup at the eaves.
Is it worth fixing the gutters I already have?
Often, yes. Loose hangers, leaking seams and poor pitch are all problems we can correct without new metal. New gutters make sense when the old ones are corroded through, bent in several spots or too small for the roof above them, and we will tell you which situation yours is in.
Do gutter guards mean I never clean my gutters again?
No. Guards keep out leaves and larger debris, but fine grit and pine needles can still settle, so an occasional check is still wise. They do make upkeep much lighter on heavily wooded lots.
Will new gutters match my siding and trim?
Aluminum gutters come in a range of factory colors, and we help you choose one that suits your trim. If you are also thinking about siding, we can look at both on the same visit so the finish ties together.
Why does a roofing company handle gutters?
Gutters and the roof edge work as one system. A failing gutter rots the fascia and decking a roof depends on, so we check the drip edge and lower shingles whenever we work on gutters. If we spot something there, we will mention roof repair only if it is actually needed.
